Jonathan Sutter is a student pursuing the priesthood, but when he agrees to assist his mentor Father Alistair with an exorcism, all Hell literally breaks loose. After losing his mentor (and nearly his life) to a demon, Jonathan is pulled into a clandestine organization known as the Paladin Order, a group that has policed supernatural activity on Earth since time immemorial. When offered the chance to join, he accepts on one condition: they must help him find Alistair.
Now Jonathan is thrust into a strange and unknown world of demons, ghosts, and monsters, all in the pursuit of his mentor. But why is the Order so willing to take him in? And why does it seem like everyone he meets is hiding something? With no other options, Jonathan is forced to move forward in this world and hope he's ready for whatever Hell itself may throw at him.
The Paladin is the debut novel by author Matias Tautimez.
