Knocking out five different short stories at once is kinda messing with my head. I'm no stranger to starting at my screen and having no clue what to write, but this takes it up a notch. I'm questioning the sanity and even usefulness of what I've promised. Still, I promised I'd put out five first chapters, so that what I have to do.
On the bright side, it is refreshing to try something completely different from what I've been doing. Not that The Paladin is filled with magic and sorcery, but the concept does exist. All that's gone in the two I've been focusing on the last week. No monsters. No demons. No secret organizations. I suppose, to an extent, The Heir of Archmond was up that alley. There were fantastic elements, but heavily constrained, playing virtually no role in the outcome of the plot. I had to focus on characters and motivation. I suppose I'll just have to do that here. I'm excited at the prospect of finishing these stories up. They're things that have been knocking around my brain for the better part of a decade and I could really use the space, so to speak. Wish I had more to share, guys, but until the short stories are out, I'm in a dry spell. Maybe I'll be able to share a game review soon. Until then, I'll try to keep my eye out for more interesting literary topics. DFTBA
